The new SUV is going to make a statement in the full-size luxury class. But, the competition is not letting it go. The 2024 Lexus LX 600 will face a lot of new rivals, such as the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Plus, the upcoming Infiniti QX80 and the Monograph concept seem impressive. Nevertheless, the LX 600 presented some big changes. Fans were in doubt about the new engine, but the first impressions are positive. Plus, the company removed the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser to make more space for the LX. That shows the faith Lexus and Toyota have in this SUV.
The 2024 Lexus LX 600 is coming unchanged. Well, it is a new SUV that debuted last year. Of course, minor modifications and upgrades are possible, such as additional colors or optional packages. But, the LX already offers the best equipment from the Lexus family. Even the F Sport is there.
The engine is potent, the SUV can tow a lot, handling and maneuvering are impressive, even for a vehicle of its size, the interior is cozy, and the biggest downside we can think of is the price. The base model costs not too far under $90,000. But, if you want a full-size luxury SUV, you will hardly find a bargain.
2024 Lexus LX 600 Specs
The old LX had a badge 570 that indicated the displacement under the hood. Now, the 5.7-liter V8 is dropped and replaced by a far more efficient turbocharged V6 system. It is called the I Force. A 3.4-liter engine is capable of producing 390 hp in the base form. That is the first upgrade from the previous model. Still, it is hard to replace the performance of the V8. Not everything is in numbers. Nevertheless, it is nice to see the gas mileage average above 20 mpg. The LX 570 couldn’t do it.
Although the base configuration is nice, we recommend the I Force Max hybrid for the 2024 Lexus LX 600. In this case, the setup is ready to crank 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. The standard towing capacity is just 6,000 pounds. Properly equipped with additional options, the LX can get to 8,000 lbs.
New Trim Levels and Equipment
Previously, there were only two packages for the LX 570. Besides the new engine, the LX 600 also brought a fresh lineup with five different options. We expect all of them on the 2024 Lexus LX 600. That means the Base is the entry-level version, the Premium is a mid-range model, the F Sport is the most attractive, and the Luxury and Ultra Luxury are the most expensive packages.
The cheapest model is still pretty expensive. The starting MSRP is $88,000. The all-new LX raises the stakes with the pricing and features. Buyers are getting 20-inch wheels right from the Base trim. Plus, there are a sunroof, heated seats, navigation, and an infotainment system with a couple of huge touchscreens.
The LX Premium already adds HUD, ambient lights, adaptive suspension, ventilated seats, and a hands-free liftgate. Most of those features are optional on other SUVs, even in the luxury class. Extra USB ports and a heated steering wheel are also there.
The 2024 Lexus LX 600 F Sport looks the most impressive thanks to a set of 22-inch wheels, unique badges on the body, and illuminated door sills. Inside, you will find more quality leather, aluminum pedals, and a refrigerator. The F Sport is not boosting power output, but this version delivers a sportier ride thanks to the sport-tuned suspension and limited-slip differential.
Luxury and Ultra Luxury
The Luxury trim is focused on premium options, not so on the look and performance like the F Sport. It builds up the Premium version and adds following parts: 22-inch wheels, soft-close doors, power-folding seats, unique trim for the steering wheel, genuine leather, a 25-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system, and the fridge in the center console. The Ultra Luxury costs $125,000, $20k above the standard Luxury. Features that make it so expensive are height-adjustable suspension, digital rearview mirror, captain’s chairs in the middle row with power adjust, cooling and massage functions, an entertainment system for the rear seats, extra USB ports, and a charging pad in the back.

2024 Lexus LX 600 Verdict
Definitely, Lexus made a statement with the new LX. It is already making a strong impact in the market. Many experts questioned the move to drop Toyota Land Cruiser from the US market. But, the 2024 Lexus LX 600 didn’t just fulfill expectations, the SUV also sets new trends in the industry. We recommend the F Sport package as the most impressive one, thanks to its driving skills. But, the Ultra Luxury can compete with the German premium SUVs, such as the Mercedes GLS and BMW X7. We’ll see what Infiniti QX80 Monograph is going to offer.
