2024 Toyota Sequoia Price, Release Date and Trim Levels Updated

The largest SUV in Toyota’s lineup is not entering the new generation yet. Instead, the company will do one more revisit before the complete overhaul. The 2024 Toyota Sequoia will be slightly more expensive than before, but it will also offer more features and options. It will be interesting to see the SUV’s performance with a hybrid engine. Well, the I-Force system improves the towing capacity and overall outputs. But, can a V6 power replace a mighty and reliable V8 off the road?

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro is under revision and the 4×4 package will help the SUV solve any tough road condition. After the redesign, the company kept the main trim levels. The TRD Pro is the tip of the iceberg. If you want to go premium, then the Capstone, a new model is there. The SR5 is the base offer, which can also be upgraded to Limited or Platinum trims.

The price is already up. Adding another option or feature will make another push closer to a $60,000 mark. TRD Pro and Capstone are $20k upgrades.

Trim Levels and Features

Here are the highlights of the models that will be carried over for the 2024 YM. The base version is the Sequoia SR5. This edition comes with 18-inch wheels, wireless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and an 8-inch touchscreen. You can upgrade it with a 14-inch display, or a 4WD. The sound system features 8 speakers.

The next stage of the upgrade is the Limited package. On the outside, you will spot 20-inch gray wheels with machine finishes. Here, a huge touchscreen is standard. JBL delivers 8-speaker audio. Also, SoftTex seats are added. Safety Sense 2.5 comes with the latest updates.

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia Platinum is a premium offer with unique LED lights, DRLs, and automatic leveling. Black alloy wheels replace the ones for the Limited model. Leather seats with contrasting stitches upgrade both comfort and visual appearance. The sound system features even more speakers.

The Capstone is the new package and currently the top trim level. Semi-aniline leather, power-adjustable seats and HomeLink system are added, as well as the huge 22-inch wheels.

This is the unique package in the lineup with several upgrades that will make an off-road drive way smoother. It also uses many options from the Platinum trim, such as premium LED lights and DRLs, Panoramic View Monitor, and JBL sound. But, buyers are more interested in drive system upgrades. The engine is the same as for the rest of the lineup.

However, the 2024 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro is using special Fox suspension with coil-overs and rear remote shocks, as well as the stabilizer bar. The SUV looks different than the rest of the lineup thanks to skidplates and several TRD Pro badges.

Specs and Improved Towing Capacity

After a long time Toyota decided to replace an old V8 mill. It is hard to judge the new configuration, but it has huge shoes to fill. A 3.4-liter turbo-six is more potent than its predecessor. It upgrades the power output from 380 to 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.

This is a hybrid system with an electric motor that gives support. The new Sequoia returns 22 mpg, which is another significant boost compared to the old SUV, which could do only 17 mpg. All-wheel drive is optional for all trims except TRD Pro.

Interesting, the company didn’t offer the base I-Force version with 389 hp and 420 lb-ft, available for the Tundra truck. The I-Force Max improves the towing capacity to 9,500 pounds. Once again, this is a significant boost. The new ten-speed automatic transmission also has something to do with it. All-wheel drive decreases the maximum towing capacity by 300-400 lbs, depending on the trim level.

2024 Toyota Sequoia Release Date and Novelties

So, the new 2024 Toyota Sequoia will carry over most of the options. However, the company can add another trim level or some optional upgrades to make the SUV more competitive. The full-size segment is pretty tough, with the likes of Ford Expedition, Chevy Tahoe and Nissan Armada being the main rivals.

The price of the new Sequoia is $58,000. The Limited package already brings it over $60k, and Platinum hits $70,000. The most expensive options are Capstone and TRD Pro. If this one is too big and expensive, the 4Runner is a cheaper option.

The new model will become available late in 2023. It gives enough time to Toyota to build up the next version. Besides the trim levels, we also assume that the I-Force can become part of the lineup. Another engine option is always a wise choice. It can also make the SUV more affordable, thanks to lighter outputs.
