2024 Toyota Sienna AWD Review, Price

Sienna is a modern 7 or 8-passenger minivan with great resale value and superb engines. A hybrid drivetrain totally replaced standard configurations. The 2024 Toyota Sienna AWD completes the lineup. There are seven trim levels available in the current edition. But, the 25th-anniversary drops for the 2024 season, and we still don’t know what will be with the Woodland grade. Toyota might add some novelties. If there are no new packages, extra options and fresh colors can always jump in.

The price of the van starts from $36,135, but with an all-wheel drive, the MSRP increases to $38,135. For some grades, this upgrade is cheaper. For example, currently the Woodland edition offers it as a standard feature. The only 8-seat model that can be available for the 2024 Toyota Sienna AWD is the base, LE. All other trims offer a 7-passenger interior, except the XLE, slotted just above the entry-level model.

2024 Toyota Sienna AWD Specs

The new Sienna completely replaced a V6 engine to become modern and competitive. Of course, the new unit is a hybrid. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine can produce 245 hp, which is not impressive. But, the new Sienna returns 36 mpg combined. Even the 2024 Toyota Sienna AWD won’t change the outputs. This upgrade will cost you just one point for the city drive. A CVT is standard.

In the future, the company might offer another setup. There won’t be a performance edition and a diesel van. Instead, the company might bring back a V6, but that is a step backward. So, the most logical move would be a PHEV. We saw this engine in a combination with more powerful electric motors. In the RAV4 crossover, it can produce 302 hp. Since the 2024 Toyota Sienna AWD is below average when it comes to the hp rating, this should fix the issue. Plus, the plug-in hybrid allows the minivan to go by using only electric power. If this happens, the Sienna PHEV would cover 25-30 miles per charge.

2024 Toyota Sienna AWD Grades

The all-wheel drive is standard only for the Woodland Edition. However, this one might not be back for the 2024 Toyota Sienna AWD. It belongs to the upper class of the lineup, alongside the Limited model.

Starting from the base LE version, the AWD is an optional upgrade. For the entry-level model, we have an 8-passenger layout. Front-wheel drive still remains standard and the AWD is a $2,000 upgrade. Here are a few highlights of this package: a 9-inch screen, 7 USB ports, 3-zone climate control, and power-sliding doors.

The XLE adds keyless entry, power liftgate, additional climate zone, sunroof, upgraded audio and simulated leather seats. The package is also available with a 7-seat configuration, which offers AWD. The XLE Plus bundle adds navigation, JBL sound system, wireless charger and black roof rails. That is basically the XSE model.

On the Woodland, the AWD is standard and this is the only trim level with this configuration. It will be a shame if the grade doesn’t come back, especially with the increased ground clearance, tow hitch, and a few other notable upgrades.

The Limited model is one of the high-end options thanks to the power-folding mirrors, cordless charging pad, cooled seats, sunshades in the rear row, leather upholstery and JBL audio with 12 speakers. The only version that beats that is the 2024 Toyota Sienna AWD Platinum. It adds the ultimate accessories the company can offer, such as rain-sensing windshield wipers and premium leather seats.

Colors

The minivan is available in eight colors for the LE version. These are Blueprint, Ice Cap, Cypress, Predawn Gray Mica, Sunset Bronze Mica, and a couple of metallic paints – Celestial Silver and Midnight Black. The premium color is Ruby Flare Pearl ($425). The XLE model adds another paintjob at the same price – Windchill Pearl. There is a new color for the XSE and higher trims – Cement. But, this grade offers six paints, Woodlands only two. Interior themes and colors depend on the material in the cockpit.

2024 Toyota Sienna AWD Prices

The 2024 Toyota Sienna AWD costs $38,135, which is $2,000 more than the base form that uses a FWD. The XLE offers three variations. If you pick a 7-seater instead of an 8-passenger van, you won’t spend extra. AWD costs the same as for the base LE. For the XSE, this upgrade is cheaper – $700. From there, we can consider other versions as the high-end models. The Woodland is not going to be under $47,000, and the Limited edition with an AWD exceeds $50k. Heavily-loaded Sienna Platinum, including an all-wheel drive and entertaining package, has a MSRP behind $55,000.
