The Venza SUV came back in 2020. Ever since the upcoming models brought only minor changes. The 2024 Toyota Venza redesign is going to refresh the offer. Well, the company added a thing or two every year. Now, it is time for a bigger dose of upgrades.
A few things should be better on the new Venza. First of all, the redesign, especially inside, should bring the new layout with more cargo space. The SUV belongs to the mid-size segment, but it also lacks power and hauling potential. We doubt Toyota will do something about it, especially since the Venza will be available only with a hybrid engine.
On the other hand, there are a lot of cool things that don’t require big changes. An update and a slight improvement would do the job. Power is sacrificed for the class-leading gas mileage, technology is on the high level, and like other Toyota vehicles, Venza has a strong resale value.
2024 Toyota Venza Hybrid Specs
The 2024 Toyota Venza keeps using a hybrid engine as the only source of power. For the new version, there won’t be revisits. So, a 2.5-liter petrol mill and an electric motor can generate 219 horsepower and keep the fuel economy at a very high rate. Combined, the Venza returns 39 mpg, which would be one of the best returns in the compact crossover class, and this is a mid-size SUV. Well, as said, the performance is not so great. But, if you are looking for a larger, fuel-friendly vehicle, this is a perfect choice. A CVT is a standard gearbox and sends power to both axles, which is a great bonus. Additionally, the system produces 163 lb-ft of torque. Further upgrades will lead to an all-electric SUV, rather than the one with a petrol-only drivetrain.
2024 Toyota Venza – Time For Redesign
The first generation of the SUV lasted eight seasons. In 2015 the Japanese carmaker announced that they will quit producing the Venza. It happened in 2017, but already in 2019, the new generation was introduced. The all-new vehicle drew a lot of attention, although the mid-size two-row SUV segment is not quite popular. But, when you return 39 mpg, then buyers will ask about other things.
Ever since the reappearance, the Venza had no bigger upgrades. Worth of mention are additional equipment for some grades and the new Nightshade trim level. Last year we saw a big infotainment update when the company introduced a 12.3-inch display.
So, the upcoming redesign will probably be focused on the exterior. The current edition looks cool. But, after a few years, it becomes boring. So, to refresh the interest, the 2024 Toyota Venza will probably use a facelift with corrections to the front fascia. Nevertheless, fans would like more changes inside the cabin, which will increase overall comfort and convenience. Plus, extra cargo space would be welcome.
Grades and Technology
The new 2024 Toyota Venza will carry over the existing packages. There won’t be any off-road oriented version, such as the TRD, available for the 4Runner, due to the lack of power. So, the SUV enters the market with the LE bundle. Highlights of this model are 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, and a hands-free power liftgate. So, it is not a surprise why the base price is a bit higher. Toyota upgraded the infotainment system. Now, it features an 8-inch touchscreen, smartphone connectivity to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa services, wireless chargers, and 4 USB ports. The Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard.
The XLE adds parking sensors and rear automatic braking to it. Plus, the size of the wheels is 19-inch. Then, the mid-range grade comes with roof rails, LED fog lights, a larger driver’s display, ambient lighting, a heated front row, and simulated leather upholstery.
The 2024 Toyota Venza Limited is the top-of-the-range version. Premium leather, power-adjustable seats, heated steering wheel, cooled front and heated rear seats, and a few more things are added. Navigation, HUD and JBL audio are standard.
2024 Toyota Venza Nightshade
Last year, the company decided to spice things up and added the Nightshade edition to the lineup. Well, basically, that is the XLE with blacked-out details, such as wheels and front grille. A few more things are added, but that won’t change the overall image.
When Will 2024 Toyota Venza Be Available?
We don’t know too much about the redesign. The company planned to refresh the SUV, but no timetable is set. With the frequency of changes we see in the market, the 2024 Toyota Venza redesign would be a logical choice. The company can update the SUV and become a more serious competitor.
We’ll see how the changes are going to affect the price. Well, it will be a good excuse for the higher base cost. Even if the 2024 Toyota Venza arrives unchanged, the MSRP will probably go up. The offer will start above $34,000, while the Nightshade edition and the Limited model are definitely going over $40k.
