The 2024 Lexus NX Hybrid is just one of the options the versatile crossover is offering to its buyers. You will find this model with the NX350h badge. It also uses all-wheel drive. Other options are the base NX250 with a four-cylinder engine, the turbocharged NX350, and the NX450h+ PHEV. Regular hybrid returns the best mileage. Still, it lacks power compared to the turbo engine, and the plug-in system can work on electric power only. The range of this setup is 37 miles.
The 2024 Lexus NX Hybrid and PHEV are coming without big changes and updates, both on the body and under the hood. Hybrids are also good performers on the road. The NX350h can sprint 0-60 mph in 7.1 sec, while the NX450h+ drops the time to 6 seconds thanks to 304 hp coming from its configuration. The PHEV is the most expensive model in the lineup, while the standard hybrid is slightly cheaper than the NX350 with a turbo engine. Also, options are limited for this one, while the NX450h+ also comes with the F Sport package.
2024 Lexus NX Hybrid Specs
Under the hood of the NX350h is a 2.5-liter petrol engine that gets a boost from the electric motor. The total output of the system is 239 horsepower and it is spread to all four corners. The gas mileage is impressive – the 2024 Lexus NX hybrid returns 39 mpg (41 mpg city), and all that with AWD. A CVT transmission is a power router and it takes just above 7 seconds to get to 60 mph.
A plug-in hybrid is a step closer to complete electrification. The NX is the favorite now when the UX EV is out. But, let’s stick to the NX450h+. Again, a 2.5-liter gas mill plus a more potent battery pack are the combo for the plug-in setup. But now, the system bursts 304 hp, 2 ponies more than the Rav4 prime. An electric range is 37 miles and 0-60 mph acceleration time drops to 6 seconds flat. The gas mileage suffers because of the extra power. However, 36 mpg is still a superb result.
Other Configurations
Besides the 2024 Lexus NX Hybrid, you can also select classic configurations. As we said, the crossover is versatile, and it is the biggest strength. Two hybrids and two other setups are available. The base one is the NX250 with a naturally-aspirated 2.5-l four-cylinder engine. It won’t impress you with its performance and 203 hp under the bonnet. Still, everything above 200 hp for this class is a good result. This is the only engine that is connected to front-wheel drive by default. You can get 27/33 mpg from this one.
A turbo-four setup is more suitable for the luxury class. A 2.4-liter mill can produce 275 hp, which makes the NX competitive against German premium crossovers. There are also 317 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed CVT and AWD are standard here, and the NX350 can reach 60 mph from zero in 6.5 seconds. The fuel economy is the poorest in the lineup – 25 mpg combined. But, that is the cost of high-performance rates and no electric support.
2024 Lexus NX Hybrid Pricing
If you decide to go after the 2024 Lexus NX Hybrid, prepare at least $44,000. Although there won’t be big changes, small updates will be a reason to make the vehicle a little bit more expensive. Cloudburst Gray is a $500 premium color option, while the Cadmium Orange costs $600. Standard paintjobs are Eminent White Pearl, Atomic Silver, Nori Green Pearl, Caviar, Redline and Grecian Water. You can upgrade the base NX350h hybrid with the Premium ($3,100) or Luxury ($7,500) packages. Moonroof is a cool option for $1,100.
The NX450h+ plug in hybrid is packed with more options. However, the PHEV system is the main reason why this model is nearly $15,000 higher than the NX350h. Triple-beam headlights are an optional feature, and you can also add an onboard charger and digital rearview mirror. The F Sport Handling is the top of the line version that hits $60k.
Luxury crossovers that might be an alternative for the 2024 Lexus NX Hybrid, are BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, Lincoln Corsair, or Volvo XC60, all with hybrid and PHEV systems.
