New SUVs are dropping all around, here is a fresh 2023 Lexus LX 600. If you love luxurious SUVs you are going to love the new LX 600. It was revealed a few months back and is ready to make a debut later this year. Lexus is one of the top manufacturers in Japan and it is looking to keep that streak going. They design luxury interiors with dashing exteriors, and on top of that, all of their vehicles have top-notch performance. We will probably see many changes introduced this time around, and we are hoping they are all for the better.
There will also be an off-road version of the SUV. We like to see Lexus filling more than one niche, after all a vehicle needs to fit many roles. Most changes will probably be stylistic. This means an improved interior, better seating, and newer technology. On the outside minor tweaks to improve steering and handling. Perhaps different colors and various trims. The powertrain is likely to remain the same, we don’t expect anything drastic to happen there. Let’s take a better look at what is expected of the brand-new Lexus LX 600.
2023 Lexus LX 600 Exterior
Since the 2023 Lexus LX 600 will be the second model to be produced under the new generation, we don’t anticipate any major alterations. Because of the new TNGA-F architecture, which has made so many advances, the general design will not change. The latest design is more than 400 lbs lighter than the previous one, and the ride quality has also been greatly enhanced. We are still waiting on the performance model, which will include a variety of off-road modifications.
According to what we already know, that version should arrive within the next year and will include numerous upgrades. According to sources, the upgraded version will also have three locking differentials along with numerous other changes to the suspension, tires, skid plates, and other components. The base version already includes standard four-wheel drive, configurable terrain modes, and crawl control. Also included should be some unique styling components.
2023 Lexus LX 600 Interior
We aren’t expecting a complete do-over of the 2023 Lexus LX 600 interior. It’s not a terrible thing at all that this component won’t result in any noticeable modifications. Simply said, the new interior looks absolutely stunning because of the modern dashboard, premium materials, and meticulous attention to every last detail. The only improvement we could possibly imagine would be minor changes to color schemes and other similar elements given the incredible overall construction quality.
As a result, features like an 8-inch digital instrument panel, 12.3-inch and 7-inch touch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a 10-speaker top-quality audio system, Bluetooth, four USB ports, satellite radio, wireless device charging, navigation, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, and a moonroof should be standard across all models. Ambient lighting, a center console refrigerator, two extra USB ports, a 25-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound stereo, a back wireless device charger, and a back-seat infotainment system with dual 11.4-inch displays are just a few of the enhancements you can anticipate.
New I-Force Engine and Specs
As already mentioned, not a lot of changes are expected in this portion of the vehicle. The previous model featured a good powertrain and why change something that is working fine? This means we get a 3.5-liter V6 engine. This comes with ten-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This engine will be the sole option for all trims of the 2023 Lexus LX 600. This beast of an engine can produce 410 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. This is a lot for an SUV, no matter its size. This means the LX 600 achieves 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds. It does come as a surprise that Lexus didn’t introduce a new powertrain.
Fuel Economy Improvements
Hybrid and electric versions are greatly needed in the lineup of LX 600. A hybrid variant would bring a lot of benefits, like it does on the NX crossover. Adding two electric motors to the setup and a PHEV system would improve power distribution and increase performance. Not to mention it would make life much easier for the internal combustion engine as it would take less stress. On top of that, you could run out of fuel and those electric motors would be able to take you for an extra 40 miles at least. Fuel prices are increasing as you read this and a hybrid system would make the SUV spend much less fuel. So it would be worthwhile for Lexus to think about this. Especially since they wanted to introduce a fully green fleet by 2030. This is a tall order, but they should be able to pull it off.
Perhaps a fully electric version is coming soon, the next generation of LX 600 maybe. There should be a new platform introduced for that purpose. A battery pack of at least 150 kWh should be able to match the performance of the current engine lineup. This should put the range on a single charge above 300 miles, which is a bare minimum. No one likes to stop too often for charging. Throw a fast charger in there and you got yourself an improved powertrain. One can only hope for this, but we will have to wait for the next redesign to see if it actually happens.
Current Gas Mileage
The fresh 2023 Lexus LX 600 is not too expensive to drive. It can get 17mpg in the city, 22 on the highway, and 19mpg combined driving. As we already mentioned, introducing a hybrid version or a fully electric one would improve these numbers greatly. The price might be bigger off the bat, but in the long run, it would surely pay off.
2023 Lexus LX 600 Price and Release Date
We will see the new 2023 Lexus LX 600 hit the road later in 2022, probably in early 2023. Hopefully, no more supply chain issues occur. Price will depend heavily on the trim. The Base trim will be $105,000, Off-Road trim increases the price to $112,000. Executive will cost around $156,000.
The latest generation 2023 Lexus LX 600 Model offers three trim levels namely Base, Off-Road, and Executive. In the low variant 2023 Lexus LX 600 Base is priced at a price range of around $108,400. This price includes tax. In 2023 the Lexus LX 600 Off-Road offers a price increase to reach the $111,900 range. While in the 2023 highest variant the Lexus LX 600 Executive offers a fantastic price which reaches $ 156,150 and makes it the most expensive Lexus car ever sold.
